Next one up...I'll have to change this one around to fit my idea but at least it's a starting point.

I did 3 practice paintings, each under 1.5 hours to get the feel for what I want in the bigger painting. This is the one I liked the best.

House on the hill

This was a quick one. 6x8, 1 hour

St. Marks Canal

Finished this practice painting (from a picture taken at a trip to St. Marks years ago). I always knew I'd paint the scene, but tried to turn the gray day into a more sunny version. I borrowed a few palm trees from other scenes at St. Marks and the Wakulla river.

 

 

 

Demo Landscape

These are the stages of a painting I did early this month working from a demo from another artist (Ron Guthrie) on WetCanvas. It was a good exercise. I wouldn't say it's finished, but I don't have time to do any more on it!
